Nova unlucky month

Hey birds lovers !

So Nova is totally better from his cat attack but today, his clumsiness did some trouble again. So I was watching YouTube videos on my iPad and Nova flew to me like a crazy bat which made my iPad fell on his little foot.

No blood. Nothing weird with it. He still runs on it, flies and he carries his food with that injured foot. But the thing is , whenever he stops, he lifts it.

It doesn't seems broken or anything but I'm still worried. If it was broken, would he be able to do all that? And if it just hurts can I do something like put ice or I don't know .

So, you drop something rather big on your foot and will good luck nothing is broken or cracked, but that area that took the hit still hurts a bit. Would you not take every opportunity to rest it?

well it dpends on the size of the ipad!

He most likely has a very minor fracture and is a bit sore. Try and take a look and see if it's swollen a little around that area, check for any loss in grip and any floppiness. If you see any of the 3 give the vet a phone call and ask their advice. Be prepared for him to be displeased and to voice that displeasure

Now bird feet a different to humans but think, when a human stubs their toe we actually break the toe in question, a bird's claw bones in comparison to human bones are proportionally a lot stronger for obvious reasons. a bang like that would cause a minor fracture at least. If you don't see any of the things I mentioned above let him chill it out for a day or 2 and if he keeps it up after go to the vet.

So I was worried for nothing . Nova is totally alright this morning.

It was an iPad mini ( fortunately) but still got me worried. Since the last incident I'm so worried with him .
