nutrition and vitamins

I don't know if anyone saw this but I posted in General health care and no one responded. I don't know if they have to look in that specific forum or not to see it so going to post here. I don't like to double post.

Does anyone know if I can order the VIVI 13+ online or do I have to buy it from my vet. I'm asking because a small bottle is very expensive to buy through my vet. I have 3 conures and go through the bottle very fast. I add it to their water bottles and every now and again on the seed.
Is this the brand most use of some other kind of vitamins?

I am almost out of vitamins so have to ask.

Thank you Kiwibird. I actually did contact them and you're right, they only sell to vets. Long ago I did see another site that sold them to the public but now I can't find it... What is everyone else giving to their birds? Do you give vitamins to your bird?

I give vitamins to my sun conure Sunny. My vet said that they give their birds Avian Plus by Zoo Med and also Missing Link omega 3's both found at Foster and Smith online. These are what she suggested to us. Works great so far!

Unless the vet were to prescribe a specific kind/course of vitamins, I would't give Kiwi vitamins (and his vet hasn't ever brought it up). Vitamin dosage should be monitored by a qualified avian vet to ensure they aren't getting too much of any one vitamin, or the wrong types. If the vet has prescribed his particular brand of vitamins, you should not discontinue using it until you ask the vet if that's ok, and get his/her recommendations on a good OTC alternative.

some liquid vitamins are better than others as quality goes.

Vets tend to be very pricey, you might consider researching liquid vitamins in your local store and compare ingredients.
If there is not much difference, then I would go with those.

I use Ecotrician, Prime, along with veggies.
