One year today

One year ago today...sissy entered our lives.i remember thinking,am I ready for another bird? I mean doolie had just passed away and I already had a house full of critters. It was like her eyes lit up when she saw me,and she had this laugh that just made me smile. I remember her tiny little cage with no toys and her owner kicking the cage and telling her to shut up. For days after bringing her home I just sat with her,cage door open,reading to her,playing peek a boo. I remember mike and I trying to come up with a name for her,it was really hard,he chose sissy becuz, even today she gets scared of the sillies things...sissy..as in big ol sissy. Lol. This picture is the first time I saw her "smile"

Thank you!!!..she consumes my day..I mean my life,lol. But I am a little worried...she had a long molt and when her feathers came in..lots of stress bars...I have a photo,she eats a wide variety of fruit,veggies,grains...so I guess a trip to the vet is needed.

Happy Gotcha day Sissy...she is Gorgeous ...love the pic...she is Adorable so glad she got a lovely home where nobody kicks her cage and shouts at her anymore...such a lucky girl and you guys are so lucky to have her too as she has obviously brought lots and lots of joy into your lives

At times she will say.."I'll be quite, let me out" and it breaks my heart...so I tell her to be as loud as she wants..and that usually makes her laugh.

I truly think that things happen for a reason, and I feel that you and Sissie were meant to save each other. She is so beautiful, and you are making so many wonderful memories with her to help make the bad ones from her past fade.

She definitely loves me lol.ill say to her "come sit with momma" and she'll climb down her rope and sit with me. And I just want to say terry that I love your signature...its soooo tru.

Oh she is adorable. It's true , macs and zons can smile , and she certainly is smiling there. Beautiful story, and thanks for rescuing her.

Thank you Scott..I hope so too. She's never caged,unless she sleeps, and she eats better than me but I still worry about her feather formation.
