opinions needed please

A variety of perches are best.. ie.. A rope one, concrete and a couple of different size Woden ones !

this is the exact cage I have now, I don't plan on using it for long, at least til I can afford a bigger one

You really would not be able to use this for very long at all! Its much too small and very flimsy... Its would really only be suitable for a small Budgie.

I would say none of those cages are suited for conures. The first one is much too flimsy, the second on is too small and the bar spacing in too big, and the third one is way too small.
This one would be perfect for a Gcc...[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00176F5L0/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1342628134&sr=8-1"]Prevue Pet Products Wrought Iron Flight Cage with Stand F040 Black Bird Cage, 31-Inch by 20-1/2-Inch by 53-Inch:Amazon:Pet Supplies[/ame].

I also think the ones listed are too small. Go with the biggest you can that still has the proper bar spacing. 5/8 inch is best. Is it a green cheek conure you're getting? My GCC is in a cage that is 32 X 23

What type of conure are you getting? The cage I have for Penny (my crimson bellied conure) is very similar to the first link you provided. It actually works great for her, although I wouldn't use it for a larger conure. When I first saw a picture of the cage, I thought it looked flimsy, but it is actually very well made and much heavier than it looks. I personally think it would work just fine for most of the Pyrrhura conures.

I too have a cage very similar to that (but with measurements 24"x18"x30" for the actual cage part), my GCC shares it with my cockatiel Pip. It's fairly big and VERY sturdy, not sure where the flimsy is coming from. Certainly big enough for a Green Cheek Conure. I wonder if the readers think the size is in cm? It's actually inches.

It stands on the floor and comes up to about 5 feet.
