So I was browsing thru amazon looking for toys for kiwi and I came across this new style happy hut/ tent thing without the strings or fuzzy whatevers I'm already planning on ordering a chube for him but just wanted options on this I feel like its best to stay away from this one just because of the unknown risks but I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

I'm unsure. I wouldn't get It, mostly because my birds are chewers. They chew anything and everything that goes into their cages.
If I want to give my birds something to hide in, I give them a finished paper towel roll. They love crawling through it and shredding it to bits!

Looks like a mold collector unless you wash it periodically.
Also the birds legs of head could get stuck between the bars while playing and the possibility of the bars sharp ends popping through the fabric.
Save some money and just cover the cage at night. :04:

I wasn't planing on getting it just wanted everyones thoughts ab it:D

I've see hut that was made from really thick ( 1/4" ?) cardboard tube looked like 4 " in diameter, Come to think of it, a short length of PVC pipe like 8-9" long, wuld make an OK hut especially if you put the PVCcap on one end and 1 or 2 perches inside. Of course that would be for a small parrot, 'tiel or budgie. ANd you'd still need to watch for chewing of it.

For small birds? Nope!

Most of them would find it to be a lovely nest...
