Orange extract

As long as the extract is food grade flavoring, without any alcohol, there should be no problem, but if you are talking about bitter orange as a dietary supplement, you probably should read something published in 2011 by John Wiley & sons "The Safety of Citrus aurantium (Bitter Orange) and its primary protoalkaloid p-synephrine" John Wiley & Sons are noted publishers of academic papers and journals, as opposed to the marketing text of purveyors and manufacturers.....

An abstract is available at The National Library of Medicine, but the whole text can be also found on the internet and at wileyonlinelibrary.com.

Good luck.....

Thank you for your answer.
It is 80 percent alcohol. I didn't mean for him to eat or drink, I meant for cleaning and scenting the house. Is that ok?

Don't see why not, the alcohol will evaporate.....

I wouldn't use it for a shoe polish, and I've rarely seen it explode. Hope that helps.
