Does anybody know where I could get organic pellets/food online for a fair price? Possibly in bulk/ large quantities? I'm trying to plan ahead for a future parrot. Either a Rose Breasted Too or a Macaw (B&G or GW). What do yours eat? Any recommendations?

I'm not trying to sound flip, but you probably want to decide and/or obtain your new big bird before trying to source their food. First, you might want to know what food/foods your new bird eats, if you get the wrong food in advance, you'll probably be stuck with the food.....

You'll probably need to also know what your new bird's eating capacity is, to help you figure the capacities you'll be needing, unless you have a large, unused freezer you can package and store excess food in, by excess I'm taking about no longer than 90 days.....if not properly packaged for freezing, foods develop freezer-burn, which imparts a funny taste to perishable foods and you could end up with a lot of extra food your new feathered friend will not eat.....

I'll let some others suggest online vendors with good prices and their 'toos' & macaw's favorite foods, as I don't order my foods online.

My fids get a WIDE variety of foods, not just pellets. Here is a partial list of what I feed:

This is what my fids get on a daily basis
It's the MSBS parrot mix, and I also add several Goldenfeast mixes and additional pellets

These nuts are for my Macs

My homecooked stuff

And fresh fruits and veggies

Choy, Sugar Snap Peas, Red Peppers, Jalapenos, Carrot, Zucchini, Broccoli, Celery, Plum & Peach.

Please don't ask me the nutritional values, as I have absolutely NO clue. :32:

My U2 and all my birds get a very similar diet adjusted for size and species. Three of my birds were re-homes and their health and feather condition has improved drastically, diet makes a tremendous difference to your bird's health.

That makes sense. There's a deep freezer in the garage that is lightly used. Maybe I could use that.

How often do you feed your Macs fruits/veggies/whole grain pasta?

I agree completely. I do the same with my dogs. I don't feed those "big name" brands.
Food quality is very important.
