Safira (B&G Macaw)~~ Gracie (CAG) ~ Lucy (CAG)
I was opening cage doors for the CAGS to come out (they're cage aggressive.) I leaned in a little closer as Gracie started to come out and was going to pet her when she lunged at me. Apparently she was -just- close enough. She made a quick lung for my glasses and ended up biting the bridge of my nose between my eyes, I'm actually bleeding. That'll be an interesting mark to show up to work tomorrow with. At least she didn't get my eye.

YOW! Any idea about what she was angry?!

It was my mistake. I went and pet my Macaw and let her out first then went right for Gracie. She's a bit jealous, and very cage aggressive. But look! LoL that's the first bite I've had in awhile. I didn't even think I was that close, but she's fast! Like a snake.

Ouch! Glad you're okay. I'm sure you'll learn from that mistake now though! ;)

Glad your ok!!!! That tend to happen with jealous birds. That's how I got bit by Java recently as I let the ekkies out to play on their stand then I went to get him and he attacked me. It always have to be him first.....

Bird jealousy can be nasty. Like you already said could have been much worse.

Ouch! That makes me nervous as my wife is really wanting to get a conure. Our neighbor has one that is very very snuggly and my wife just loves it. I would hope our CAG wouldn't do that. But then again he already did catch her in the cheek and drew blood but I think that was an accident.
