Owner of Macaw

New to site. Have owned a Macaw for 12 years now he is 14 years old. Tends to bite me sometimes, not sure why. Want so much attention, I try but hard, I work full time. I think I give him a good life, but question it. I know they need a lot of stimulation but again it is hard.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think often times I also feel the same way even if I spend most of my time with my bird. If you can't spend much time with your bird, make sure when you do have time, spend quality time with them.

Also have you tried any foraging toys?

Welcome Brenda. What is your Macaw's name? If he was 2 yo when you adopted him then was he a rescue by you? You've had him for 12 years so you are doing pretty awesome. . It is only natural for any parent or parront to desire the best life for their beloved ones. You are not alone.

Welcome Brenda! Macaws can be strong willed and set in their ways. Does he bite as means of control or hard enough to break the skin and cause bleeding?
