Parrots
1 green cheek conure (Kumar)
2 male budgies (Charlie and Diego)
So I got the parrot backpack carrier for Nika and she loves it, these things are very well made, and once you figure out all the latches and snaps and zippers its pretty easy to deal with. Just doing short walks for now, and it's also nice when I have her with me and I need to go outside to get something or whatever I just pop her in and she goes with. Took a very short video, it may or may not load. :). [ame=http://youtu.be/6SGCUYz2cWs]Nika's snazzy new RV - YouTube[/ame]

Glad Nika likes it! There's more than enough space for her in there. I like how big the windows are. I knew I should have gone with the medium instead of the recommended conure size! >.<;

Oh my gosh so stinking cute!!! I love it!!!!!

What's the difference between the sizes? Any gaps or spaces etc?

Also I love that you have Boomed down as a 'technicolour chicken!' :p

What a lovely video. Tempted to invest in one for Charlie, since Merlin has his own carrier and carrying two on my own might prove to be a little difficult!

That really is nicer than the one i have that Georgie used. Hers was rather small, but at least she did get to go out! That's a really nice carrier and you'll get a lot of years of fun out of it, i'm sure. I can't remember---were you harness training as well or did you give that a try and your bird didn't like it?

The size you see in the video is a medium, one size up from the recommended size for conures, as Nika has a very long tail and I didn't want it compromised.
There are no gaps or spaces for escape, they're very safe and very well made. :)

I did harness train a while back....got it on and had to cut it off :). I'm going to continue harness training, but this thing is so easy. We go for walks in the morning and yesterday we went for a bike ride. We both really love it!

So is it the size of the actual backpack that is different then? I'm struggling to understand the need for different sizes if there's no gaps for heads to poke through etc. :p

My guys have stubby tails but I think bigger is usually always better anyway.

LOVE IT!!!! Do they come in Macaw sizes??? :D

Never mind...I just looked and found them. Yes, they sure come in Macaw sized, "only" $600. :(

No there are no holes the windows are covered with stainless steel mesh. The difference is in size of the pack.

I know I saw the macaw one, at that point you're carrying a tent lol!

The Pak-o-bird is such a fantastic idea! I really hope my little boy will like his!

So what type of places do you go with your bird? Can you go into stores that just don't have food? I want to start taking mine out but I am stressed to think I would get kicked out. Or are these used to go to the park, walks, and hikes?

They look so awesome, but for the xl 36" size I would need for Rosie it is out of my price range. :( $599 + $120. Maybe someday I will see one on clearance for 90% off and get one. ;).

Awesome carrier, enjoy it!!

So far, my wife has had success at department stores like Walmart and any restaurant that has an outdoor patio. It seems to follow the same rules as the dog-in-a-purse.

We haven't tried malls or convenient stores yet. I'll let you know if we have any problems. Our plan, if we get busted, is to pretend it's our seeing eye bird. They squawk loud to turn left, louder for right.

That's funny. I have one for Neytiri. She likes it. I love it. Easy to use and clean. Seatbelts in to the car. And best of all it's made in the USA!!

Didn't like the price but made in us and the quality I thought it was fair.

I have one for my alexandrian. It works pretty well. I think it's overpriced, but really what item for a bird isn't. I saw a bag of in the shell peanuts being sold at petsmart yesterday for $16. They were marketed as foraging treats.

Anywho, I take my bird for walks and into offices all the time. I also take him on campus, and take him into study rooms. I even sneaked him into class once because my roommates were painting in the apartment that day.

Not if I beat you to that sale ;) HAHAHAHA!!!
