Parakeet seed and apples!!

So apparently Houdinis previous owners had him on parakeet seed....yuck. Could this have made him sick?? He don't look malnourished at all. Just wanted to check. He has taken to the pellet/seed/fruit and veggie mix I have chichi and Ringo on. So I'm not so worried, but who does this?! Lol.

Anyway, he wasn't sure what to do when I cut a chunk of apple for him. He licked it for a whole. Almost bit a bite a few times and finally mowed it down!! A few pics for ya, too.
