so, are you saying they (Bourke’s) never allopreen at all? I thought you were saying they only allopreen in breeding season.

By "breeding stuff" I meant feeding and mating because without it, the species couldn't survive. In other cases they don't really touch themselves... unless you have a single budgie which will force a Bourke to preen her/him (this happened once time to Romek and Rozalka before I got Angela)

Btw coming back to the red rumped parrots - looking at the OP's videos I'm starting to think they are more social than I thought. Somebody said me fake information

So before had Hoppy we had no idea of how to take care of Red Rumps.
Hand fed him for a few days luckily he had started to eat seed after that..
Nor the Behaviours that they have.
We have watched him grow for nearly 7 years.
Wife actually help him to fly funny to see, wished had got that on a video.
He only knows us, we him.
For us it is like having an only child.
So he doesn’t know any different.
WHERE WE FIRST GOT HIM THINKING HE WAS ONLY ABOUT 3 WEEKS OLD.
