Perjo turned 7yo on Nov 25 and we had an avian vet visit that day.
This was the third straight vet visit in three years she weighed 437g. Not only is that somewhat amazing it’s a good sign that she is of very good health. There’s never a guarantee without blood work and we’ll do that in that in the spring but it was a great visit.
The Dr did say the ages between 7-15yo are the common ages in which these birds tend to drop dead with no warning. I’m not trying to be negative or scare anyone but it was good info to get and I’m going to be extra disciplined in Perjo’s diet now that I know this.
