Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
I feed Perjo Roudybush and or Tops pellets for her staple. She tends to flip flop and favor one over the other for a few mos from time to time but will eat both. She went about 2-3 weeks without eating much of what I served her then all of a sudden she is eating two bowls a day. I think she’s eaten almost three bowls in a day a couple times, along with veggies and snacks and birdie bread. Her weight is stable and consistent 440 grams for over the past 2.5 years.

Is this sudden appetite normal or at least of no concern?

Her behaviors etc haven’t changed at all, she just eats like her parront now- Lol.

She’ll be three years old in November.

Has the weather notably changed, ie cooler temperature = higher metabolism?

I’m above Mason Dixon line so fall temps are setting in near Great Lakes. She’s never done this before though. Sexual maturity? Is an egg on its way?

Levi's appetite wax and wanes as well.
I worry more when his appetite decreases. I'm thrilled when he's a chow hound.
I feel like he is making up for when he doesn't eat well.

If you are real concerned, call the Vet and get their input.

Molting? Mine eat more and crave protein when molting.

Perjo is molting a little. I’ll monitor this for another 3 weeks. If her appetite stays up this aggressive and the moly stops then I’ll know more.
