Pete's carrot beak

Sorry the quality isn't very good, but he actually seemed embarrassed about "veggie beak disorder" and was flinging his head around. I actually got hit in the face with one chewed up piece of carrot.

I had to wipe it. That's the messiest I've ever seen him. Usually he is the neatest eater. He was afraid of the tissue at first though, he's such a baby! I had to rub it on my face first to show him and then he let me. I did that yesterday with a toy and then he accepted it. So I guess if it touches my face and I don't die, he thinks it's ok.

Toby is like a kid when he eats I have to wipe his beak and he is not crazy about it but he knows what I am doing now so he does not fight me as bad now...

I was told that Stitch loves carrots but he wouldn't eat them for me-- until last night. But I'm not sure he was actually EATING them. I held up a baby carrot to him and he started ravaging it, but it was all just going onto the floor! I was so entertained I let him do it to three whole fat organic baby carrots. He may have eaten maybe three bites...

I was told Merlin loves carrots, too, but so far I'm not having much luck getting her to eat them. The best I ever get is one or two bites and then she throws it. When she still had her grate she would pick it out first and shove it under the grate and then go about eating the rest of her veggies. I should have taken a picture of her peanut butter beak. I gave her toast with her medications and peanut butter on it and it took me at least 15 minutes to get that off of her! Rowdy has major veggie beak every night, but won't let me get it off for her. She wipes it on the cage bars and toys and then I clean that up, lol!

I love when they get so involved in their food , lolol. I never mind cleaning up after them because you know they ate well and enjoyed it
