And, again, I say, your talent shines through ... these "little" ones are stunning! :40:

Thank you again, i really love the Mitchells Too, they are so cute!:p

They are beautiful, yeah have to say I'm a bit partial to the mitchells too, :D Beautiful, And the art work wow, beautiful

I see these birds in the wild every day and I have to say I have not seen a mitchell with a pink head b4. The pink and gray galah I know well and I also see 2 Corellas like Skippah there, but I have never seen a major Mitchell with a pink head. Is it because its young or is it a cross breed between a major Mitchell and a pink and gray Galah? The parks around my city have hundreds of these birds roaming wild. They always catch my attention when I am stuck in traffic on the way to work. Its amazing what people take for granted. The Mitchells I know of are bigger than Skippah but with a yellow crest, not pink. The size of the Major Mitchell is why Debbie decided on a Bare eyed corella instead, She found the Mitchells a bit imtimidating.

Debbie decided against a Major Mitchell when buying my 1st bird as she found the size of them itimidating. I wouldnt have minded, but I am very happy with Skippah as it turns out. The major Mitchells I see each day are White with a yellow crest, not a pink head. The only bird I know of like that is a pink and gray Galah.

I have no idea why posts are doubled up.
I edited one post, but it didnt show up, so I re-did it and now its up there twice, but worded slightly differently.
you work it out.

No, i have no idea about another coloured mithells. I'll try and find out why they are pink headed. I tried to let him flash his head feathers, that is beautiful, a pinkish red and yellow colour!

That sounds like a citroen crested too.

Peta I think Citroen is a type of cars and Citron is the bird... no? :D

:18: :18: :18: Think you could be right there.:18: :18: :18:

Its such a good job you lot know me and my blond moments here isn't it. :18:

Im not sure of the order of size, but here we have the Sulpher crested too and then the Major Mitchell. to me one just seems bigger than the other. Both are all white with a Yellow crest. Oztralian names may be different for the same bird your describing.

Yeah I was wondering that too. Have ya seen any of these Mitchells in Oz and if so what do you call them ones.?? (just curious:D)

I seen a Mitchells in a pet store the other day. With the small price tag of $15,000  They also had a Ghana Grey.

    thats over £7,000, the last one I saw here was £1,500

Ok, I stand corrected.
What I have been calling a Major Mitchel is actually a Sulpher crested.
There are hundreds of Sulphers in the parks around here and they graze with hundreds of pink and gray Galahs. I Could walk up to within a metre of them all before they will fly off in a group. Its quite a site to see. I cant believe those prices. When we were kids and and wanted a bird, we just climbed up a tree in the outer suburbs and took one. Pink and grays and Sulphers mainly. Every kid had one at home. When the babies fall out of the nest you can just scoop them up and take them home (if your afraid of climbing) or the ants will get them. Its funny what you take for granted. People would laugh till rolling on the floor If I suggest a Major Mitchel cost $21,000 Australin dollars (7000 English pounds) in Australia. We just go for a drive in the country, find a flock, climb a tree and get what we want. God, if I lived in Africa, or the Amazon rain forest, Imagine what we could grab in our back yards there.
I will see if I can get some video of The flocks around the city here. If you use "Google Earth" look up Adelaide, South Australia, see how our city is laid out. The CBD is surrounded 100% by park lands. So I have to drive through the park to get into work each day. Flocks of too's mingle and feed with each other all day long.
