Wanted to upload a picture of Hamlet (my Sun Conure) and Maki (my GCC) as I didn't have any updated image up here since it has been so long

They are adorable. I love the color of the Sun Conure. How noisy is your Sun? I have been around a couple of them and WOW, they can get with it when they want to. But then again, my Senegal Tiki was supposed to be an apartment bird and the folks we got her from claimed she was as quiet as a church mouse (that should have been a clue) hahahahahahahaha. The second clue was when I tried to contact them a few weeks later to give them an up date on her progress with me, I left like 3 messages and went by and it's like they dropped off the planet. She's a handful at times, but she's my baby.

I learned, from my vet, that if you feed them large amounts of Beta Keratin while they are young, and when they are molting, that it really helps in making their colors "pop" ... Fresh Kale and collard greens were giving a lot while they were younger. We have since cut back on them since those veggies that are high in beta keratin are also high in calcium and we worry about calcium binding.

How noisy are they ... well, Hamlet can hold her own, we currently live in an apartment setting and our neighbors claim they never hear her; but, I don't know how in the world they don't ... Hamlet definitely has her noisy periods ...

hey! on the noise thing, I live in an apartment with my sun and he is LOUD. However my neighbors tell me repeatedly they never hear a thing. My brother mentioned that deep noises travel through walls better than high pitched ones so that might be why!

AAAWW!!! Both Hamlet and Maki are BEAUTIFUL!!! And yes, Hamlet has some brilliant plumage!! :)

Thank you Wendy

Love! Beautiful.

I've always wanted a Sun.

Awh, they're both beautiful!

I can't imagine how people's apartment neighbors don't hear them! When we pull into the driveway my daughter's sun must hear us because he starts screaming for her (and her bedroom is on the other side of the house) and we can hear him before we even open the door. That bird has some serious volume. If he's on my shoulder and she's going to walk out of the room, I take him off my shoulder first since I know he's going to yell at least once when she walks out, and it makes my ears ring.
