Got these today with my phone camera. I put him on a perch stand with food and a toy while I sat next to him watching TV. He's my new little buddy.

I don't think I could ever be a foster parent of cockatoos. I'm afraid I would end up with them all, how can you not fall in love...

Although....then again..my sanity kicks in and HELLO!!! I believe that they are definitely unique and I'm not sure if I could relate to any other breed of parrot. For sure want to try someday.

Zazu is such a cutie, are you contemplating keeping her?

He looks so much like a corella, I had to look it up, and they really are a species related to the corella (bare eyed cockatoo)..

I find this very interesting, because I've heard the Goffins is much more unpredictable than the BEC..

Thank you, everyone for all the lovely compliments! He is a cutie, isn't he? Not that I'm biased or anything...
I want to keep him soooo badly, but my husband is not thrilled with the idea, especially since we just got Bowie and he needs "work"...
He did admit today that Zazu is a very mellow bird (odd thing to say about a cockatoo!) and Zazu stepped up onto his hand very nicely and got a head scratch. They seem to like each other, so I think I have a fair chance of getting my way...He sees me looking at cages online all the time and hasn't said anything, yet.
Someone mentioned Bare Eyed looking like a similar species - Zazu does have a lot of "skin" around his eyes and they seem to protrude a little like a white, feathery chameleon! I think I've just never looked this closely at a Goffin's before! The only experience I have with a BEC is from this past winter. Casper was a real sweetie to people but the most bird aggressive bird out of 36+ parrots, macaws, etc. He looks sooo cute and innocent and says "I love you" with the funniest little voice, and then he attacks! Birdzilla nearly killed a ring necked parakeet that jumped onto (not into) his cage by accident!
Speaking of BEC's, has everyone seen Frostie dancing on UTube?

I never realized this about Greys until Merlin came to live here, but she can also roll her eye up to look at me like a chameleon as well. I love it though, lol! If I stop petting her for just a moment, the eye opens and then rolls up, like, hey woman, keep going!
