Awwww!!! I got to take a dove for a walk when I volunteered at our bird rescue! They are sweet happy little souls!

Awww how cute. My aunt has a pair and they are beautiful and the softest things I have ever touched.

She's gorgous! I was just thinking about doves, do they make good hands on companions? Are they fairly easy to take care of?
Have fun with her!

She's so cute! She actually steps up and everything? That's awesome! :D

My aunts are so easily handled and they are just so calma nd peaceful. Never have they lunged or bit

They are definitely good hands on companions :D She is still getting used to me but she will sit on my shoulder for a little bit and accept some petting. I expect her to open p more with time, she is very quiet too. The only complaint I have Is that she poops often. It's small poops but very messy compared to parrots. However she doesn't get seed everywhere or scream. I'm pretty sure she was hand raised but I think a young dove could be just as tame :)

Your right, shes so soft! It's almost like a cockatoo!

Sorry but I need help, and don't know how to post for everybody
i would be happy to help, but I'm not sure what you mean, the moderators are always a great help too :)

OH MY GOODNESS. so cute. I always wanted a dove but i didn't think they were 'hands on'. cool!

I have 8 doves I use them in my magic show, doves are great pets if you have 2 or 1 but when you hit 3 or more they become a pain, they don't yell but coo alot they also loose feathers like nothing (prolly Cus I have more birds),and poop a lot too. If your interested on knowing how to train a dove email me I don't mind helping I have a dove who flys back to me if tossed out I also have a dove who plays dead .btw a dove can become fat if fed all day so I recommend feeding for about a hr in the am then a hr at night.

Enjoy

And you can tell a doves age by there feet not an exact age but if there old birds or young look at there feet I it's pink it's a baby if it's dark red it's an adult so the pinker the younger the redder the older

Beautiful dove, Eliza is gorgeous
Everyone is correct, they are so soft to touch
Thanks for sharing
