Polly is my red crowned amazon, he was already named when I got him from a parrot rescue. His age is completely unknown, but the rescue said if they had to guess they'd say 15-25 years old. I've had him for a little over a month now, before when he was at the rescue and when I first got him it was rare for him to actually come out of the cage. Now he lets me preen him, and he steps up from inside the cage(He use to be very territorial). He's doing very well, vet says healthy but a little overweight and thinks he use to be on an all seed diet because his beak/talons were sharp. Only 2 bites to the arm since I got him so far and hasn't bitten for almost a month.
