Pineapple conure
Hello everyone,

I have a 1 yr and 6months old pineapple conure. It recently has been breathing heavily with its mouth open and tongue moving up and down for no reason the weather is good he has water food everything I’ve had him since he was 40 days old. Could someone please tell me whats happening? I have attached a video

Thank you

Before the video had he been flying?
It’s normal for birds to breathe heavily after flight but they should be breathing normally again in 1-2 minutes.
If he’s doing this constantly, I’d say bring him to an Avian vet.

Maddox is a green cheek conure
This is definitely something a vet needs to look at. When Maddox had his sinus issues, the vest asked if he was doing this exact thing and mentioned that that would indicate a serious respiratory issue. Is your conure tail bobbing too? I really don't mean to scare you, but it is something that needs immediate medical attention, so I would see your avian vet as soon as possible.
