Pionus Parrot
Hi everyone,
I got a pionus bird a few weeks ago and he is doing great. I grew up with a lot of animals but I never had a parrot before, so this is pretty new to me.
He is so nice to me and a really awesome bird! I just have one question about the food.
I give him 1 spoon from “Aviplus Healthy Parrot” mixed with fresh vegetables and fruits. (I fill up his bowl 10cmx5cm) he eats 3/4 or 2/4 of it.
In his cage a always have another one filled up with the “Aviplus Healthy Parrot” but he never finishes that one of course. (He just gets his favorite seeds etc out)
My question now is:
Am I feeding him too much?
I really want to make sure I am doing everything to his best.
Thank you guys already and have a nice day!
Best regards,

You should feed as much as he needs. He will stop eating if he knows he's eaten enough.

Just a friendly reminder that birds don't really need fruit. It's high in sugar and makes a nice treat. Vegetables (chop) are a much better option.
