I'm going to order a large Java tree, adding to the jungle of PVC stands, for my Macaw for his half of the room. He will be along one wall, my Zon, on the opposite side.
The goal is to be able to have both out, both clipped and being supervised, so while I work with one, the other can be out and about.
However when I asked my vet about also ordering a tree for the Zon, he recommended just having a simple stand set up for her do to her limited vision. Nothing crazy with levels and branches shooting off (like the Macaws), but maybe almost a rectangle with a bridge, but just straight forward. This way she can't fall or under reach.
The photo below is about what he would suggest, just no T on the top. She's a perch Patato but I feel that since I'm going out of my way with the Macaw she's getting left out
Do you think a tree is a bad idea, or do you think she'd be OK?
