We are looking for a bird for our family. It's very much like we are pregnant and waiting for the day the new addition comes to the family!
I may not have figured out dying wood very well, but Rico's new tree is a beauty to behold!

We are so excited! He had a small cage (well to small for him to go in) that was there that he sat on top of and looked out the window. With this, it's much more beautiful, and I can load it with toys!!

Toys I need to attempt to make more of. With dye. Hahah. Think I will get more mason jars. Lol. Try, try, try, until it comes out right.

Wow! That's awesome! What kind of tree is that?

Looks great, bet he loves it.

Arbutus branches :) he is still a little shy of it, but hiding treats on far away branches is getting him to move around it more.

That is fabulous! Wow, what an awesome job you did:)

I love it! Its perfect! With the little spiral thingy! I wish I was that creative with tree branches and things like that! :) Good job!

Sorry, I didn't check back. I have a habit of doing that. Posting and then disappearing.
I didn't do anything to it. I cut it down, and bolted it together.
I'm not a nervous nelly.
I bring my boy everywhere I can take him.
I think if he gets sick it will be from human contact more so then wood from many miles out in the bush, and up the mountains.
Over time the wood has slouched a bit from the weight of the toys I've added on. He's a big guy, and gets big wood. But his favourite thing is maple branches.
I don't do anything to them either. I just go cut them down and lay them on his tree and in his cage.

How's everything been going? Taking him everywhere? Sounds like things are going very good.
