hey all.
my girl mango is just hanging out, and i noticed this…
does she seem like her tail is bobbing to anyone?
she has a vet appointment early April, so she will be seen soon regardless, but i’m kinda worried now.
she is eating, drinking, preening, flying, etc. she seems fine, but i know that they can hide pain.
will my baby be alright?

Since none of our members are vets, offering medical advice is not the forte of the website. Seeking a qualified vets opinion would be the best thing to get an answer.

i understand completely, i just wanted to ask the community if the breathing looked concerning to them

Her breathing maybe looks a little heavier than I would expect? The important thing is to know what’s normal for your bird. One of my budgies always seems to have a little more tail bob than the other but his lungs are strong and healthy; that’s just how he’s always breathed. It’s good that your bird seems fine otherwise and even better that she has a vet appointment coming up so you can cover any concerns you might have. You may want to write a list of questions for the appointment as it’s easy to forget things in the moment! Hope you pretty girl gets a clean bill of health ❤️

You can comment of course, but offering medical advice, unless you are a qualified vet, may only be making a given situation worse.
