Please help.. something wrong with birds beak

My green cheek conures beak has recently become disconnected on one side.. Ive attached pictures of the normal side, the disconnected side, and a frontal view. How could this have happened?? and what can i do to fix it?? He has toys and is fed zupreme.. he seems healthy otherwise

Which photo is the "disconnected" side? I honestly can't see which one is the problem.

EDIT: Ah! I see it now. It's pretty normal that little pieces break off the beak ocassionally, it's like if you didn't cut your nails, they would ultimately break apart piece by piece, little by little. Make sure he gets enough vitamin A, as this vitamin is responsible for growing the beak. Carrots are pack full of vitamin A. More carrots for the parrots! I agree with jugoya, take him to the vet to see what they have to say about it. Just to be sure. Don't rush it, it's not like he is dying or anything. No matter what, it will eventually grow back to normal. As long as he can eat i would say there's nothing to worry about. I don't know what to think about it, see what the more experienced parrot owners have to say. Don't listen to me!

It honestly looks like he bashed into something and cracked his beak...

Is he having trouble eating?

Yes hes having trouble eating.. he wont even try to eat peanuts, and he has to soak his pellets in water

Oh ****! That's not normal, forgive me. Call the vet, is he in pain? How is he handling this? Try to describe his behaviour right now.

Hes acting completely normal.. Hes been playing on top of his cage, dancing, ect.. he doesn't seem to be in pain.. he let me touch/move his beak and he didnt mind at all

Good to hear he is not in pain! I know a parrot's beak is connected to the bird's upper mandible, so there's no nerves in the beak itself. (as illustrated in the photo below)

Try to imagine your bird's beak like that, and maybe you can decide if it's "just" a crack, or the whole mandible is misplaced? In this case, avian vet... ASAP! as the others have already said. A vet will at least be able to give you a qualified answer. None of us here are vets. Why aren't any vets joined to this forum? That would seriously be awesome!

It's a bit hard to see on the photos, but it looks like it's both the upper and lower part of the beak that is "disconnected"? Can you confirm this? Something is definitely not right here.

A family friend(CAV) will not post on any forum. He said he found the environment too hostel and felt he was being attacked and challenged for every post he ever commented on! I am 99% it wasn't this forum, but he won't say!

I talked to a vet tech. She said theyre closed for the weekend and the doctor isnt available to see new patients after hours. I was told to try back monday, however she cant check the schedule so shes not sure when they could see him Im going to buy him some baby food today so he can atleast eat comfortably for now

No it isnt.. Same conure though! That issue turned out to just be hardened on food.
