I saw an ad on Ebay Classifieds for a male Eclectus for sale for $700.00. Take a look at the birds cage. I notice there is no full picture of the cage, so I'm thinking if it looks like what is in the picture it's NASTY! I notice he states in his ad that the bird is tame, but needs to be handled. So that tells me "CAGE BOUND BIRD".

When I see an animal cage that looks like that, it makes me want to shove the human owner in there and let them live like that in the filth for a few weeks.

Poor bird.

Ads make me so sad sometimes. I find myself reading ads on craigslist, pennswoods, etc mostly out of boredom late at night. I don't know why I do though, it mostly just ends up making me sad when I see pictures like that. Hopefully somebody saves him from such a sad life.

No, it's this one.

The cage is rusty and the ekkie itself looks a little ruffled, poor thing.

That Cage looks awful :( How could anyone keep a Parrot in something so bad??? He must be so sad in there :( Someone needs to rescue the poor thing.

ps In the Uk we are not allowed to sell pets on Ebay!!

I know what you mean. When I see something like this, it makes me soooo angry. It's a shame because Eclectus are such amazing birds.

That poor sweet baby. Hope he finds a nice new home with someone who loves and cares for him. There is so much of this stuff going on. Do you think that people deliberately post horrid pics so that true birdlovers, who are disgusted and feel sorry for the bird, will buy the bird? When a nice ad is posted, it receives no comments, only the bad ads. I am beginning to think they do it deliberately. I personally would be too embarrased to advertise anything that was not in good, clean condition, whether it be a cage, furniture, car etc

Never heard of selling animals or pets on ebay here in Australia. As far as I know , its not allowed.
poor bird though , very very sad.
