Popcorn treats all around. Look at his eyes, so happy :)

That is so cute Chris :). Is your dog eating popcorn back there too? Lol

Parker looks like he hit the jackpot! Just look at that potty beak:D

They can have popcorn?!
I'd love to make some for baby bird. I didn't know that was allowed.

Parker's a sweetie. It looks like he's thinking "You are not expecting me to share are you Dad?"

It's recommended to use air popped with no salt or butter added. I've also read about soaking the kernels to soften them up a bit and serving unpopped.

Hahahaha! I love the look on Parker's face! He is obviously in Heaven! It's amazing how expressive their little faces can be.

Just thought i would post that some Air Poppers have Teflon in them so be careful.

Now back to searching for oven cleaners LOL

It is! With parker, I'm in love with the squinting he does when he's ready happy :)

It's true. I'll admit though this is microwave popcorn, but without butter flavor or salt. Popcorn is high in fiber so is a great snack, especially for ekkies who need true fiber boost.

Wouldn't you know it! You just don't realize how much of that crap is around until you get a little fella to watch out for. Thanks for the tip! I think I'll do like Chris and just make the plain style in the microwave.

So cute! All my fids love popcorn! :D

Chris,

Thanks for the photo, he really is getting into it!!

I chuckled when I read this, my boy (Gizmo) squints too, but I am far from in love when he does it...lol, when Gizmo squints it only means one thing, he is planning something he knows he shouldn't (a nip at Pebbles toe, her tail feathers, etc).

Wow, I did not popcorn was a good snack for birds.. I know what I will be doing for movie night! :D

Plain popcorn kernals in a brown paper bag in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. No oil or salt.

You can also use a stainless pot on the stove. Melt a tablespoon of coconut oil and put only one layer of popcorn kernals in the bottom. Put a lid on the pot. They will pop this way as well.

As usual, no nonstick and try to avoid electric air poppers, many have nonstick coating.

I wish I had a photo of the aftermath. It actually looked more like he shredded it rather than ate it, neatly uniform smaller bits filled the bowl. Maybe I'll get some pics tonight.

I have a "microwave popcorn popper" not sure the brand name, but it's about the size of a large popcorn bowl. It's reusable and made of heavy plastic, so I use that for Zilla's popcorn. Not sure how much she actually eats, but she sure does have fun crunching and throwing it all over...LOL
