Prayers for baby green cheek :-(

I guess I look at it this way: we've spent 1000s of years creating all these dog breeds. They all descend from the wolf. Obviously most of our dogs don't look like wolves anymore, and of course we have also bred for temperament. Same thing with horses and cats and several other animals.

That being said I'm perfectly happy with all my birds being their natural colors. It's not like there is such a thing as an ugly parrot. If we are going to bred for traits, why not breed for temperament?

This baby is from two normal gcc's! He told me 2 of them had red eyes, and he's had other pairs that do the same thing. I don't know if their eyes are just red at first and change.....I don't want anyone to think he's conducting evil science experiments. Lol.

Obviously the parents are carrying the genetics to create it, for whatever reason, whether it is something naturally occurring or something that was bred into their background. That happens though. If 2 humans who carry the cystic fibrosis gene pass it on to their child, the child will have cystic fibrosis. It doesn't happen commonly though. I'm sure there are gene mutations in all living things.

such a cute baby! hows he doing?
