preening question?

Yep, another Preening Question!

Lucy gets rather wide eyed and excited when she's preening. Very nippy too. It's like she's on a mission lol after she's done, she'll preen me or my boyfriend. When she gets too nippy we put her on the floor and give her a foot toy, but is this normal or is she too excited?

ok, not nippy anymore... bitey OUCH! She wipes her beak all over me too. or rather, all over whatever she's sitting on at the time.

oh! also, I already know that beakwiping can be aggression, and i think it's frustration because I won't let her eat my necklace.... any other helpful hints would be lovely

Tori gets a bit nippy when hes preening too. I normally just leave him to it unless hes been over preening, then I offer him a preening toy or my hair and he usually goes for that instead. (or he'll pretend he wants to step up then clamp onto my finger. Trying to get him out of that habit at the moment.)

Tori tries to eat my necklaces too, so when hes on me I just take them off. Maybe you could get a toy necklace that your bird is allowed to play with?

I've thought of getting a "bird necklace" for her to chew on also. She's just really super hyper. I just wanna make sure that she's not angry or something like that. She refuses to step up when she's preening and today is day 2 of the great preening rampage lol
