Earlier today I was cleaning, Mishka kept saying Mommy's cleaning.
When she preens herself I say Mishka's preening.
Later on she had her shower. Whilst sitting on her playpen she was preening.
I asked her what she was doing, she replied, Mishka's preening preening.
I then started sucking my fingers, and said Mommy's preening.
I started rubbing her claws, she was quite happy letting me.
Then she shocked me, she lifted her claw, towards my mouth.
I was so confused, did not know what to do.
So I opened my mouth, she put her one nail in my mouth, I was petrified.
Stayed calm and prayed. :63:
I then started sucking her nail. She sat there calm and content, with me preening her.
Hope this does not become a habit

That's her way of asking you to preen her? How goofy. I'd rather stick with giving them scritches, haha!

LoL I had no choice, had to go with the flow.
Look on the bright side, she had just had a shower. :D

haha thank goodness she had just had a shower 0.o
Mishka is such a smart bird

I didn't want to say this but... did you give the bird a bath afterwards? The bacteria in our mouth can kill them.

No need to, When Mishka climbs off her playpen, there is a bowl, with water in, she plays in, and walks around in it. Another good habit LoL

Thanks for being concerned, appreciate it. :D

Hahah! bizzaarrr-o. Never heard of a bird doing that! Birds surprise me.. everyday. =D

Yes, it is the same with cats and dogs. That is why a bird injured by a cat rarely survives with no medical attention. That is why you should never kiss your bird.

I know now that it can kill them, but what's wrong with a little kiss?
