"Wanna step up"

I'm so proud of him. And I'm so glad Tyler heard it too... it's not just wishfull thinking lol.

Yaaayyyy Pumpkin! That's three words! How exciting, thanks for sharing.

Oh good! It's a fun bonus when they do become talkers. Like Allee said, that's a whole sentence :). Looks like this might just be the beginning!
Most of the birds I've ever had talked. Right now Raven is coughing (mimicking) lol... He can literally go on for hours with that one. It's hysterical but gets annoying after a while ;)

That's adorable. Rio says my name over, and over, and over. Then finally says , what cha doing? I just love it when they learn to talk and mimic. I've almost got Kiwi to say Picachuuuuu. She is a Parrotlet, so if she says it, it will be so cute. We will see.

Yes it is a nice bonus! I feel like a mom who's baby just said mommy the first time. Haha. He's been muttering stuff in the dark when he thinks he's alone for about two weeks. Tonight he said wanna step up a few times it's not clear but we figured it out.

You go Pumpkin!! :emoticonc. Thats way cool! I know what ya mean about feeling like a proud mom! Doodles first words was Nite-Nite...I think shes trying to say I love you & come 'ere!

Pumpkin is gonna be a chatter- box! Better watch the potty mouth words!!

Haha yeah that's not gonna happen. Tyler and I both put sailors to shame. I guess if Pumpkin picks up some of these words then he will just fit right I to the family conversations haha.

I'm terrible as well, I always swear when the stupid computer game "kills" me. My galah isn't much of a talker, she only says "hello" and "oh", I just know if she did pick something up it'd probably be bad, so that's quite good in a way.

You go, pumpkin! Did she actually want to step up when she said it? Was it in context?

Well he was already on my shoulder. I had been gone all day again so I got him out of his cage and he was so excited and just chatting away.

I'll have to try to catch a video!

Yeah...I'm guilty too, I just REALLY try not to drop the F- bomb around her! :28:

That is so awesome when our fids say things to us...that are nice.

Haha I'm just hoping we were right and not hearing things. He's back to just muttering now.

No, I'm sure you heard it. If he said it once he will say it again.

I'll have to try to catch a video!

I've tried and tried for months to catch even an audio recording of Raven when he talks or coughs because he's hilarious. It's hard to do. He stops when he hears the video button on the iPhone. I've tried it from outside the room, but then the volume isn't loud enough. One day we'll catch them!

I'm jealous! Our GCC Skittles makes lots of sounds, but no words at all. He's wonderful in every other way, but no words!

Actually, since our new-to-us CAG Reno arrived (he talks, sings, whistles tunes, etc. constantly - VERY clear speech, and literally hundreds of phrases & sentences), my 'Zon has stopped speaking altogether - he makes lots of sounds, but it's all mumbles now. It's almost as if he's saying "Why should I bother? Reno talks enough for ALL of us! Now I can relax!"

Haha well it wasn't very clear at all. But he kept saying the same thing with the same inflection and that's what it sounded like to us
