What are you calling pure?
You realize there is no government standard, specification or regulation for ‘pure’ essential oils. ABC company may differentiate their version of 'pure' differently from that of XYZ company, which may yet be different from that of Ace Smellers. Now, for food grade vanilla extract, the FDA requires that the vanilla flavor come only from the extractives of the vanilla bean.
So, to be able to be labeled “pure vanilla extract,” the FDA requires the product to have been made from at least 35% alcohol and 13.35 ounces of vanilla beans per gallon. More alcohol is fine, and often results in a much richer flavor. But it can be no less than 35% alcohol.
Without the equipment, which includes a mass Spectrometer and gas chromatograph, to do your own testing or have the ability to oversee testing, we are left in the buyer's beware lurch.
If you only have the manufacturer’s or vendor’s statement of purity, ask for documentation of independent data/study of the product.
Why not buy some cinnamon sticks, gently boil them in water & you have a nice smelling house.....then, as the water cooks off, you end up with a diffusable liquid that you can pour into a narrow necked vase, stick in 2-3 diffuser sticks & viola, you've got your room deodorizer.....
Good luck.....
