Hello flock,
Just practicing and trying things out.
These are my 3 quaker ladies.
Phoebe my blue young lady, a pet store screamer that w as about to be returned, with a humongous fear of hands that took many months to overcome, and screaming took hard work to overcome as well, we are talking 8 hours of non stop screaming lordy ...but she a dreamy love now.
Pikachu, my golden girl a re home from a college student who realized it wasn't tge best time place or situation for parrots. Recently discovered how to escape her cage, opening doors ect, naughty girl. Also a lovely calm lady, that lives to give kisses. She is pretty unflappable.
And lovely oh so funny Penny In gorgeous green. A older gal rescue from horrid situation ....horrid...took 2 tears to teach to fly, to build confidence that she could actually move around and not just be a shut down lump on a perch. In her first days plenty of screaming, and bites, and shooting poops at me, anger, depression. She was all over the place. But a sweet girl at heart, and so funny. A completely different bird these days bright eyed and full of mischief and sweet snuggle girl. But never let's me sleep in screams her head off every morning, convinced I've moved out or dead...

Ta-dah and Blue Boy , both who had just taken baths. Ta-dah is 8yrs now, so sassy and so sweet. Blue Boy was an escaped bird rescue from a cats mouth, family never found. Peas are his all time favorite food . And you can see i chuncked him up from his starved state at rescue;) 20210827_145319.jpg20210827_145307.jpg

Yes thank you. I'm a sucker for the second chance parrots. Especially for the screaming quakers that get shoved off.

As a species they like to make noise, and if they are bored they can be relentless! Wild flocks are notorious for noise.

As everyone knows GCC can be nippy, I want people to know quakers are committed noise makers! I have down to acceptable level save for early morning squawk fest!! Its still a goal of mine to be able to sleep in

I am too and not just parrots... any bird species.
:)

Especially for the screaming quakers that get shoved off.
For this I take my hat off. Screaming birds is one situation where I could not help... there is no escape route for the sound in my place. I love lovebirds, but must keep them in fair reduced numbers because of their noise...:(

save for early morning squawk fest!
I´ve got that too, and the sundown feast too. They just want to thank every single people in the neighbourhood before night time :D

Thanks guys , just saw your replies. The quaker girls all hang out together now. Usually with that 6 inch spacing. They are a nice flock. Some beak sparing, but as friend squabbles.
They are a quaker only club tho, they don't let Ta-dah be part of their group. Not that she wants to lol.

The flock is nice and stable and happy. So I hope no MBS flare ups!! No birds in need finding me!

Yes Blue Boy and the Budgie boys are doing great. They are clowns

I can't believe Penny is the same bird. And look at little Blue Boy-he's so happy to be with you!
Yes Penny does look great! She just had a relapse, and is under treatment right now. But as I weight check them I caught way early. My vet will have me treat them every six months prophylactic from now on... we are past thinking we can eliminate this bacteria from my flock...
