Hi...I'm Lynda and live in the great midwest. I breed several different birds at this time. Caiques, pionus, quakers, conures and cockatoos.

I do have a quick question. I have a proven pair of Galahs...

noticed some odd behavior from the male. I have searched with no answer via the internet. I Thought maybe someone here might be able to enlighten me.

It's mating season...August.

male is kinda of predisposed with his own wing. He will bring it under him as to begin a sort of mating thing. What in the world? Please tell me he is not crazy in love with himself and won't give her fertile eggs.

Any ideas are appreciated.

I do not know, If I was in your place I would email people who research wild galahs and see if they've ever seen that behavior. They'll be viewing hundreds of pairs, rather than breeders who only view a few :)
