Yeah. I mean, there's no way to fully prepare for what life will be like with a fid, just like having a human baby. You can read heaps of books and resources, but the reality will always be a bit of a shock to the system. A good shock hopefully =P
Well keep counting down the days and I'm sure I will bombard you with photos and stories as soon as my baby arrives!
Like a newborn baby, bringing your bird home, is so so exciting. I remember I awoke at 2am the morning I was getting Mishka. I check and re checked everything over and over again. Her little basket was prepared and EVERYTHING (she was 6 weeks old)
BUT when she arrived, I had to quickly go out and buy formula (new one on the market at the time) purchase a small syringe (my fault). I left her in the care of my two sons.
Tried 6 different pet shops, traveled a long distance, last one had stock, of the new formula, and got the syringe.
THEN it started raining, at a robot near our apartment, my windscreen wiper ( drivers side) detached itself from my car, landing in the road. Could not see a thing THEN I ran out of petrol
Anyway after all the chaos, I finally made my way home, to the most beautiful little AG, chirping away, waiting for her feed.
No matter how hard, or awful you day has been or is going, there nothing in the entire world to cheer you up more than a beautiful
