Realises he has a beek

My Ekkie has just discovered he has a beak that can cause a bit of trouble and I want to nip it in the butt b4 he gets to used to the idea.
I am trying out the 'No Bite"!! approach. This only happens when I go to get him from his cage.

Any other strategies I can use?

Yeah, I strongly recommend you bite him back!
NO NO... Just kidding.

Don't make the "no bite" interaction with him like a game or behavior that he might start to like to take part in.

Does he snap at you before stepping up, or does he step up and then bite down harder and harder? What's the interaction like?

Yeah its mainly when I give the UP command '.He flattens out and growls at me snapping down...

My George is snapping when asked to step up. He does not hurt but I want it to stop. I would love any suggestions. I believe Caesar and I would both benefit.
