I posted recently about my conures sore red feet.. I went to the vet about Buttons feet..and he recommended that I take out all perches and only put rope in her cage and a slab styled concrete perch. I bought basic silk rope and tied three ropes overlapping from all four corners and side to side. she is a lot more active now, she seems to be less timid of hands in the cage (maybe shes more comfortable coz she can move around more freely?) no more red sore foot. I've also been giving her the option of a bath every day.

I have this problem with Rosie also. She will chew the rope pereches until they are no safe to use so most of her perches are the natrual wood with the bark on them. She is good with that but when she gets out of the cage and perches on the cage door or any othe perch like the shower curtain rod the feet start right away getting the pressure sores.

My GCCs feet were getting little sore red areas on the bottom of her feet and it turned out to be her window perches were doing it . she sits on them quite a bit and they have a sand perch type perching area so I wrapped them with vet wrap and that solved her problem.
