I want to get it out there because I'm so upset by this. There are two parrots at the shelter I volunteer at. One is a cockatoo and the other is a huge red Macaw. I'm extremely worried about these guys. They came into the shelter as owner surrender hoarding case. I did hear that they have bird aids?? Sorry I'm writing on my phone. If anyone wants or needs any more information or I posted in the wrong thread please email me. Thanks Louise

You're my HERO for doing the work you do, and for helping these birds. I can't help directly, but I will hold your efforts in my heart.
Maybe share your locale, shelter phone numbers, and/or similar?
THANK YOU!

Please keep us up to date, there are too few wonderful people like you!

I would love a macaw but I dont have the money, time, and I'm all the way in Vermont. I also applaud your efforts in helping these wonderful animals. Not to mention my Timneh would not be happy sharing my time with anyone else.

Bird AIDS? Do you mean avian bournavirus (ABV?) I may be able to help, but finances will be a factor, as ABV birds are expensive and if I had to shell out a lot of money to acquire birds, I would have less for vet bills. Perhaps we can talk. Send me a message through a moderator.

Not sure what a moderator is? But if you need to find out anything about these birds you need to call the Agoura Animal Shelter. 1(818)991-0071 I work with the dogs and foster cats. They will give you all the info. Yes I think it is ABV
