Rescued Eclectus, advice please?

Huh. Male eckies seem not to nap? We need more eckies owners commenting!

I'm a new eckie owner(rescued one from a hoarder situation) and my daughter-in-law has a male she purchased as a baby. We both cover ours at night and they both take short naps periodically during the day. I have learned so much in 3 Mos and so much more to come! Any advice on training and caring for an abused 14-16 yr old is greatly appreciated!
