So my ringneck managed to bite my finger through the cage bars and it bled and I washed it with soap and water do I need antibiotics or anything.

Oh No! You need to get a anti-parrot venom shot!

JUST KIDDING!!! You should be fine. If there was a need for antibiotics for a parrot nip or bite that bled a bit, I would have a closet full of the stuff. Maybe rinse with hydrogen peroxide to really clean the puncture if it that bad, I never do it though.

I bet the bite has made you smarter tho! You been chastised!

Thanks for the advice I tend to worry to much when it comes to infections.

No worries. Unless your immune system is compromised in some way, washing w/soap and water and a rinse with hydrogen peroxide should be fine.

I make it bleed under running water and dry it. I use neosporin and a bandaid. I also have a RN and she can bite hard!!

I make it bleed under running water towel dry and use Neosporin with a bandaid.

An antibiotic will accelerate the healing process.

RN came out Registered Nurse on the first skim.

Well I make it bled under running water and washed it with soap and water

I've been bitten plenty of times. No infections so far. The insult is when they keep peeling the scabs off!"
