I take Rocky on his "taxi" -- a rolling play stand -- to visit his siblings, the small parrots and in another room, my starling. That way everybody gets attention and Rocky isn't screaming when I go to play with the other birds. I had him in Ringo Starling's room yesterday and she was sitting on my arm chatting to me and Rocky stared at her bug-eyed, beak open, scooting a little closer, as if he'd never seen her before. It was so funny. She ignores him. I make sure to keep a safe distance and Ringo, like wild starlings, is an amazing flier, while Rocky doesn't fly, plus she still has wild bird instincts. She gives him a wide berth.

Interesting, considering the size differential! They may just ignore each other as irrelevant background scenery.

One of Rocky's favorite things is "Bird TV." He sits on a perch Hubby built on the enclosed porch and watches the wild birds at the feeders. Even in winter, a bright sunny day makes that porch warm enough to sit on. We have a lot of starlings and maybe he had just realized that Ringo is the same kind of bird, and was wondering what the heck she was doing indoors. LOL Maybe Ringo wonders what the heck this giant white noisemaker is doing indoors, too.
