Brand new bird owner.
"Rufus" has arrived and training for both bird and human has commenced.
Finally received Rufus yesterday. He was supposed to be delivered, that was until the Post Office made me come and get him cause he was breaking out of his shipping container...again. lmao

He wasn't happy at all. He is obviously not a tame juvenile, so it will be quite a while before I can share pics of my buddy and me together. And DAYUM he can get LOUD! ha. love it

Not sure how to add pics ...any help would be great.

Under the text box is a go advanced button, then you can paperclip a pic from phone, when you post text it will be a thumbnail underneath.

Congratulations I'm so happy to hear he is home safe!!!

I'm sure he has a lot to vent about and us upset. Bribe, and agree with his Complaints .

He is magnificent!!!!! Regal!!!
Make sure he has a place with a visual sheild of toys or something to retreat behind.

You are pushing him to fast if he bit you. Most of us here go by all bites are our fault. ;) I've been at fault mostly with my GCC many times .

PS can you show the shipping container?

Welcome home Rufus, he's beautiful!

Awesome! FYI, Quakers are master escape artists! Looks like you have a welded cage! Good! Double think every door and food latch!

Welcome home Rufus, looks like he’s made an impression on you already! OUCH!!

Glad he is home, safely. Slow down your integration of him, as has been advised. This is your and his first impressions. You want him to KNOW that onlygood things come from you.

Quakers are builders, but I have heard rumor that they are even better at destruction. First Blood! Rufus did't take long to display his displease of the shipping process. Sorry, that you received a bit of the displease...

Yup, what everyone is saying!!!

Hey! All that noise is a good thing! He’s trying to communicate...

With YOU!

Never discourage that or think it’s a bad thing, although it might drive you crazy right now. He will hopefully settle down in time.

I live in South Florida, where we have millions of wild Quakers. They are outstanding and exceptional pets! So make sure you feed him right.
