We have made the decision to take our darlings, Miss Alice and Miss Buffy, to see their friend, the vet, and ask him to send them to the Rainbow Bridge together. They are both extremely old for a dog and a cat and we can no longer allow them to live in pain and confusion. But oh! We will miss them!

So sorry to hear. I have never had to euthanize a pet of my own, but I have gone with my best friend and helped her in her decision. It is really a difficult but loving and selfless act to be there and let them go so peacefully. Sorry for your sadness and I hope the happy memories fill your heart.

I fully understand how difficult it is to say good-bye. It's hard enough to mentally prepare for one, let alone two of your best friends.

Trish, I am so very sorry to hear this. Having to make this decision is always difficult, and I can only imagine that it is doubly so when you are sending two beloved pets to their final rest. But their long lives are a testament to the love and care that you have lavished on them over the years. I know the work and affection that you put in for the sake of your pets' happiness, so I am sure that their lives have been filled with joy and love.
