We have made the decision to take our darlings, Miss Alice and Miss Buffy, to see their friend, the vet, and ask him to send them to the Rainbow Bridge together. They are both extremely old for a dog and a cat and we can no longer allow them to live in pain and confusion. But oh! We will miss them! :(

Oh Trish, my heart is breaking for you all:( It is such a hard decision, but it falls to us to do what is best for our beloved pets, no matter how hard on us it is. Knowing that does not make it any easier.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend, and I am sending you much hugs and love.

I have been in your shoes and I am so very sorry. It is such a difficult decision to make, as loving owners we have to know and recognize that time when their quality of life is not good and lovingly let them go. My heart and thoughts go out to you!

Trish,

I am so sorry. You made the decision for the love of them, but I know its a heartbreaking decision.

It is a difficult decision. It should be. Sending healing prayers your way.

I am sorry to hear that.....that's so sad.....It takes a lot of love and courage to do what is best for your babies even though it is very painful to do. It would break my heart when the day comes for me to do that.....

Trish, I'm truly sorry you had to make this sad decision for not one, but two beloved companions. No matter how long we have them, it's never easy to say goodby. My thoughts are with you.

Huge big hugs to you!!! That decision is one of the hardest to make :(

such a difficult day for you!.....my heart goes out to you Trish, I've been there myself.

It is truly one of the most humane things you can do to show your love for an animal, as difficult as it may be....sending many hugs your way.

I'm so sorry you have to make this decision:( It's never an easy one.

So sorry to hear. :( I have never had to euthanize a pet of my own, but I have gone with my best friend and helped her in her decision. It is really a difficult but loving and selfless act to be there and let them go so peacefully. Sorry for your sadness and I hope the happy memories fill your heart.

Trish, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the post. :(

I fully understand how difficult it is to say good-bye. It's hard enough to mentally prepare for one, let alone two of your best friends. :(

May they be happy, young and full of life on the other side of Rainbow Bridge. Always loved, never forgotten.

Hugs to you and your family, dear Trish!

Trish, I am so very sorry to hear this. Having to make this decision is always difficult, and I can only imagine that it is doubly so when you are sending two beloved pets to their final rest. But their long lives are a testament to the love and care that you have lavished on them over the years. I know the work and affection that you put in for the sake of your pets' happiness, so I am sure that their lives have been filled with joy and love.

Take what comfort you can in that, my friend, and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Trish, such a hard and painful decision to make. I'm so sorry :(
Your beloved pets seem to have lived such a long life, due I'm sure to your extraordinary love and care of them. Take care.

Dear Trish, I have known people that just can't bring themselves to do the hard deed and so don't and then the pet languishes. You have such courage and love. I hope the support of kindred hearts strengthens you and yours. Sincerely.
