Sad :( They don't like each other....

Here's a video of them eating together You can see Coconut tries to put Rascal in his place and show him who is boss. Coconut ONLY does this because Rascal was nasty to Coconut in the beginning so he burned his bridge and now Coconut is still on edge.
They have separate food bowls in their separate cages... but when they are in padded room together I have them eat together from same food dish so Coconut can eventually realize Rascal is not a bad demon. I think I'm going to use slightly larger food bowl though since it is a little too cramped too soon... or just let them work it out?

Coconut can't go into Rascal's HUGE cage yet because he would fall and injure himself. I can't wait until they become official roommates in the huge white mansion cage Until then Coconut stays in the smaller cage while Rascal has entire house to himself

I HOPE Coconut will always bite feather light.. meaning he just tickles my finger NEVER bites me even if he's upset he will just do a whiny growl and tickle my hands with his beak lol
Rascal would always bite really hard even as a baby. I have never had such a sweet gentle bird as Coconut. It's very refreshing Is this common? As none of my tiel's ever been this gentle!

They're all different, but at some point you might have to work with him on bite pressure training as soon as (if) you see this behavior emerging. That goes for any bird, especially good to catch it when the behavior first starts appearing. He might change as he gets more mature, but he might not.

I will have to look into the pressure bite training.... thankfully Rascal doesn't bite me in the face (which is great since I am kissing and sniffing him all day LOL... poor thing)... but he does bite my fingers very hard (not my skin but if he hits my fingernail be will try to almost bite through it is what it feels like!!). He's only doing this when he feels uneasy (or he is not sure why my hand is in front of him then he is feeling like "what he heck is this!!??"... then bites hard). I have given him no reason to fear my hands... so I'm not sure why he is like this.

Awwww poor Rascal 'Nut is being a brat to him! Poor guy is even hesitant about sharing the food bowls.

Yes I felt bad for Rascal!

The ONLY reason Coconut is being such a brat is because Rascal was nasty towards Coconut in the beginning but now Rascal no longer is anymore... now tables have turned and Rascal is getting taste of his own medicine.
I'm going to get larger food bowl... I'm sure eventually Coconut will hopefully understand his first impression of Rascal was not his real self. Coconut feels threatened by Rascal.

It is nice that Rascal at least doesn't fight back... he just flees the scene. They'll work things out as time goes on hopefully. Baby Coconut better start being nice to his brother!

Check this out... here is a video I shot of literally the very first time Rascal and Coconut got introduced. As you can see Coconut kept leaning over to say hello to Rascal. Coconut even tried to gently preen Rascal but Rascal would hiss and try to bite Coconut's head off. Rascal did this many times... so now Coconut is a brat to Rascal because he associates Rascal as being a BAD unpredictable suspect. This is sad
