Scotch tape OK?

I want to make jenga some 'pockets' using cupcake liners that have little treats in them. Is it OK to use scotch tape to close them?

Now I could be wrong, but I believe any adhesives are bad. Cotton or twine string, and tie them closed instead.

Yes, I agree with the above, please don't use any adhesives.

You could also use an "eggwash" or weak flour paste to "glue" them together.

Not only is the adhesive bad, what if the bird ingested the plastic tape itself.
