She came out!!!

Today as a super exciting day for sweet Rose. I've been recovering from surgery for the last three weeks. It's been a challenging recovery with multiple infections. I've been almost bed bound. So, I decided to take this opportunity to spend a lot of time with Rose. I moved her cage right next to my bed. I'm constantly taking to her, giving her scratches and experimenting with new treats. So far, she only likes apple juice. She has made a bit of improvement in that arena. Rather than run in fear of treats, she takes them and throws them on the ground. It's progress. Today, I took my youngest shopping. I was gone for about three hours. This is the longest I've been gone since she moved next to me. I came home and went to work setting up my axolotl tank. All of a sudden, my husband calls for me. I walk into my room. Perched on the end of the bed is miss Rose. I figure that I must have been gone to long, so she went to look for me. As soon as I came in, she got excited. Puffing up her feathers and climbing towards me. I picked her, gave her a hug. At that point, she calmly climbed across my bed and back into her cage. I'm in love with my girl right now. That was hard work and she did it all by herself. She got lots of praise and Apple juice.
