She's home!!

Our baby is home! After a 5 hour ride home in a pet carrier--which she didn't make a single peep during!--she is now safe in her large cage, listening to brad paisley & munching on cucumber rolls & peanuts. She's really perking up now! We're already in love

On another note, a lost puppy followed us up the steps & is now spending the night under guidance of a police officer until tomorrow when we'll continue the search for his owners. Over the course of a day, we've gone from having no pets to a large puppy & an ekkie!!!!

Will be posting some pictures as soon as things calm down tomorrow!

We found the stray puppy a great home with the ladies at the petsmart grooming station They loved him! He didn't have a chip and the vet said he looked malnourished & was probably a drop off--so now after a walk and lots of food he has a new home! They took him right back for a flee bath & washing. It was great!

As for our new lady, who we keep calling Sushi, so that may stick, she is loving oatmeal right now with some pepper flakes and honey! She's really perking up, but is still very quiet. Although we think she said "hi" last night, but it was so faint. She'll take food from my fingers now, and is being such a sweetie! Pics to come tonight!!

Yay,,,,,your little girl is finally home...how wonderful....
So now you are in for the honeymoon phase. LOL You know that period of time when the bird is so wonderful and QUIET.....

Oh yes the honey moon period is starting to fade already! That's okay, she has such a pretty screech

Sushi came out and played with us last night for about half an hour, and she's really taking to us! Jake and I are so happy!!

Arrrgh, the pictures won't work. I'll keep trying though!

SUSHI IS TALKING!!! I was in the bathroom, when all of a sudden I heard clucking and a very clear "Hi Baby" in a pretty voice. It freaked me out at first, until I checked all around the apartment for some perv breaking in. Nada. It was Sushi, who was listening to music and munching on her seed-covered pine cone--which she loves! After I came back from starbucks this morning I heard some mumbling and soft words coming from her room I'm so proud! And she's allowing us to play!! Ah geez, I couldn't get much happier!

It freaked me out at first, until I checked all around the apartment for some perv breaking in.

My neighbor had a cockatiel for years who spent the summers on his screen porch. His grown sons were living w/them & we I went out into the yard, I would hear wolf whisles. I would be so mad, I couldnt even use my back yard, pervs! It was years later that I found out it was Tiki, I never told them I thought their sons were pervs, Thank God.
