Hey guys I made a thread like this on the zon sub forum but I have additional questions. I'm going to buy bonkers a ton of cool stuff on my safe birds store and I was wondering what your birds favorite things are so I can get bonkers to try them. I've been having trouble getting him things that he enjoys or will even tolerate but he will try everything once. Toys, fruit mixes whatever if you recommend em ill see if The baron will enjoy them also.

Thanks guys this helps me out A ton.

Take a long look at what he currently likes and doesn't like and 'try' to define what results in those choices.

Working with our DYH Amazon's choices is like working with a moving target. What was the center of his World last month, sits collection dust the next. With time, we have been able to define that whatever it is, it needs to be crewed into a pile and left behind him. When a new 'chewable' becomes the center to his World, we provide what may seem like endless supply, until it is left for something new.

It does not take long before one collects a pile of once loved toys. With this pile, we work at creating variations to catch his attention.

Life with an Amazon demands creativity on the Staff's part!

I take Salty shopping with me and let him pick out the toys. That way I know that he will play with them. I kinda know what he is into lately; woven grass toys -balls, mats; Popsicle sticks, flat wood blocks. But that changes too, and I get stuck with last visits ejecta.

He's such a pain haha he really likes to chew woven things like I woke up one morning and he had destroyed a whole wicker laundry basket and was sitting in the rubble chuckling to himself. I just purchased him a 70 dollar treat sampler that his vet recommended and hopefully the money is well spent and I can find a treat that he is interested in. currently he only likes sunflower seeds and those are crappy for him so I'm trying to switch him on to something else.

I just purchased an aviator harness also so he can come outside and get some fresh air so we are going to start that training here soon that's gonna be a huge pain but I love him and all he's weird picky quirks so it's worth it.
