Show me your cage setups!

I need some inspiration for my bird's cages.

I'm introducing my baby cockatiel into my older one's cage right now, but the baby can't fly yet. (Breeder clipped her wings) I've put in two food dishes, and made a platform for each of them on opposite sides with a rope in the middle.

I would love to see your cages and toys!

Our Amazon is a Free Roamer /Flyer! Although his cage is large and fairly well appointed, he commonly uses it more as a napping area or sunning area as the windows in that area are East and South facing. So, cage arrangement is set for his usage patterns.

Regarding your cage arrangement, my recommendation would be to target more products that are 'chew-able' (soft, thin wood, cardboard, paper, etc...), and a bit less plastic products.

Have fun with it and continue to alter as you see their interests grow. Do not be surprised if those items are rarely played with sometimes and are found to have great interests at other times. Continue to rotate stuff in and out to keep it interesting for them.

Hi, sorry I didn't have time to reply to this yesterday. I do the same with my birds, their cages are mostly for sleeping and when I have to go out. Otherwise they're out most of the day.

My goal is to add more chewable things, but right now I'm just trying to make it more accessible for baby Abby as she waits to grow her flight feathers back. My budgie for example (same exact cage model) has his entire cage filled with wood toys, minus a rope and a swing. Surprisingly my cockatiels aren't much of destroyers though. Still, I'll add more soon, no worries!
